HOLINESS

I pray that you and your families are all doing well during these uncertain and stark times. Know that the Lord God is for you and not against you in every situation of life. This weeks' topic is a very important one so be sure to read until the end and share it with others if you're lead to by the Holy Spirit.

I've been learning a lot during this pandemic; more than I've learned in my whole life actually about the Lord God and His character. It's deplorable how you can grow up in church; even go there your whole life and know so little about God. You can attend service after service and still be stagnant spiritually for years without ever realising it. This was me unfortunately and it took twenty two years for me to figure that out. I thank the Lord Almighty that I did though because life could have had a very dark end if not for this time of learning and growing in the Lord. I've learned so much about what holiness is from the Word of God and my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are truly living for Him. This is a topic I've never once heard preached on in Church and like I said I grew up in the Church so that says a lot. Holiness isn't what's portrayed by a lot of these seeker friendly churches and tv charlatans that make it seem like you can dress whatever way and do things whatever way and the Lord is still for you. Holiness is according to Gods' Word and that's it; not what people think or some pastor said or how you feel but Gods' Word. So often people overlook the Word of God and think they are in the right when the Scriptures alone are right.

Before this whole epidemic unfortunately I was in error although I knew the Word of God and made every effort to live by it I wasn't truly filtering my life through it. I wasn't holy. I entertained things, people and situations that were totally ungodly and justified it by my own rationale. Our rationale is irrelevant; it is so so irrelevant. The Bible states it clearly that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts like the Heavens are higher than the Earth. We might think in our own self righteous outlook that we are doing right by the Lord God but if what we are doing doesn't line up with Scripture than we are wrong! We are very wrong and will pay the price on judgement day for our disobedience and wickedness. People are so misinformed today that anything and everything goes in the name of God and if you know Jesus but that is a lie from the pits of Hell. Holiness means being set apart, different and separate from the World so how can we do everything the World does and still claim to belong to God? Some of us really need to wake up because the Lord is not playing games with anybody. If you are claiming to be a Christian and know Him then live like that! It is not enough to do lip service on a Sunday and talk about Him from time to time you actually have to live it. The Word says let everyone who names the name of Jesus depart from evil; not some people, not a few of you..EVERYONE. This might be a harsh wake up for some of you but Lord knows He didn't give me this blog for me to lie or sugarcoat anything.

I'm so glad I woke up and so thankful to the Lord God because I was living in ignorance of so many things, not realising to be a child of God means we have to walk this Earth like we are just passing through. A lot of us are holding onto mindsets that are so ungodly and we think the Lords' going to allow us into Heaven like that. Some people reading this have malice and bitterness in your heart and you believe Jesus is going to open the gates for us. The Bible says time and time again for us to walk in holiness and truth; forsaking our old ways for the new way which is Gods' way. So many of us think we can walk with the Lord as modified versions of our old selves! I'm just going to change this a little, I used to do this now I'll only do it on the weekends, I know this friend is ungodly but you know we've known each other for so long. Stop it! God isn't going to let any carnality into His kingdom we have to be like Him; living separate from this World and all it's ways. The reality is this world is run by the devil and all it's ways are against God. You know what I say is true there are countless things the Church is doing that is straight from this perverse World. So many of what so called believers are practicing today isn't from the Word of God but from this World and that might be acceptable with people but not with God. The Bible says the path is narrow for a reason.

Our God is so holy, righteous, clean and mighty and our God hates sin. You cannot tell me as a Christian that you do not know that. The God we serve flooded the Earth and only spared eight souls. The God we serve rained fire and brimstone upon Sodom and Gomorrah. The God we serve opened the ground to Hell for all that defied Him in the Wilderness. The God we serve is Holy! He is telling His people to be holy as I am holy not to be holy as you think holiness is but to be holy as He is. A lot of people think they can do whatever they feel and say whatever they think and the Lord God will accept them into Heaven I'm telling you now Satan is lying to you. Be holy as He is holy and you will have no reason; absolutely none to be ashamed on judgement day. The Church today has dropped the ball and I mean really dropped the ball and that is why so much wickedness is abounding. If we would just do what the Bible says how different would our lives be along with the lives of those around us. We are the salt and light of the world..the world! That means something even though so many today think it doesn't; we cannot be the salt and light if we look and talk like everybody else. Too many people today profess Christ but they do not possess Christ. We really need to wake up as a body and as a people. I thank the Lord for waking me up before it was too late for my soul and now that I know I want others to wake up too. The Word says old things have passed away behold all things have become new for a reason.

We shouldn't look like everyone else looks as children of the Lord; this is something I've been convicted of this last month. If we are His children the Holy Spirit dwells in us therefore we are the temple of God. You cannot clothe the temple of God any kind of way. You cannot take the temple of God anywhere and you certainly cannot let anyone access the temple of God. The Church doesn't talk about things like this but thank God for his Word that is crystal clear if we would just take the time to study it. I'm learning that make up, fake hair and wearing trousers aren't things held in high esteem by the Lord. The Bible mentions a lot about how a women should carry herself and nowhere in there does it say with jewelry or with braids. Pray about these things and see if the Lord will not answer you. The problem is today we don't seek God as we should for permission to do things we just go ahead with our opinions and feelings. Gods Word has nothing to do with how we think or feel and everything to do with our obedience, the posture of our heart. That's why I'm telling you to pray to your Father and ask Him so you have a heart to do what is right in His sight so both your heart and your actions are acceptable. Holiness means to be different. Think about your lifestyle; the way you dress, where you go and who you associate yourself with. Are you different from those who claim that there is no God?

I thank God for each one of you reading this because that means there is still time for you to repent of your lukewarm self righteous Churchianity and get right with God. It is truly never too late until death comes knocking on your door. Jesus loves us all but that doesn't mean there is no standards for how we live as His children because there is (many in fact). If you are reading this and you don't know the Lord as your personal Saviour I plead with you to get to know Him. There is no other way or hope; without Him we are all surely headed for Hell. It doesn't matter how far you've gone the door is wide open.. but it wont be open forever. I love you all and the Lord Jesus loves you infinitely more. Stay Blessed.
