FIRE AND BRIMSTONE IS COMING

Welcome, welcome to this weeks post. I pray that you and your families are all keeping well by the grace of the Almighty. This weeks post is a Word given to me by the Lord God Himself that I am writing in obedience to Him. I hope it is a blessing to you all and you gather something from it. These are very deciding times spiritually so I pray that you are purifying yourself even as He is pure.

In the Old Testament we can see that a lot of pain and hardship comes upon the children of Israel. They started off so well in Exodus when Moses and Aaron came on the scene to speak to Pharaoh on their behalf. These people were in slavery for 400 years with no hope of freedom or a better future in sight. They cried out to the Lord God and he answered them by sending them a leader who we now know as Moses. GOD delivered them with a mighty hand using signs and wonders He brought them out of the land of Egypt into the wilderness. Unfortunately it does not end in rejoicing and song because the children of Israel hardened their necks against the LORD their God and chose not to listen to His voice. The moment He brought them out of oppression things went down hill. They murmured and complained against the LORD then they murmured and complained against the LORD some more. They lacked understanding and would not honour Him in their doings so much so that the Lord God himself began to destroy them. While they were in the wilderness the LORD smote them so that many of them died, put plagues upon them, sent serpents to attack them, set the edge of their camps ablaze with fire and opened up the Earth to kill a number of them. How could it possibly be that this great God who saved them from slavery with such mighty power and awe be now attacking them, be killing them and laying their carcass waste? Is it not because they refused to listen?

The Bible states plainly that the Israelites were a stiff necked people who continuously questioned Yawehs love, power and commandments. It seems at the turn of every chapter they were complaining about something to Moses. Nothing the Lord God did or said pleased them. They were unthankful when He gave them food from Heaven and rebellious when they were commanded to take the promise land. It was almost as though the God and King of the Heaven and Earth could do no right in their sight. To this the LORD answered them with pestilence, death and wandering. The promise land they refused to conquer would now be given to their children and the life they despaired of so much would now be taken from them. The GOD that was their salvation in the land of Israel had become a type of adversary to them. The hand of the LORD was against them so heavily...why? Is it not because they refused to listen?

In the New Covenant that we are in today the Lord Jesus came to Earth and died on the cross for the sins of the World. It is not only the Israelites who are GODs chosen people that have access to the promise of new life, forgiveness of sins and the promise land. All people everywhere now can become part of GODs chosen people by repenting and believing the Gospel. Through the blood of Jesus Christ there is hope that goes beyond the grave and grace unparalleled. With all that has been given to us in the new covenant we would think that men everywhere would repent and be saved. This is not so. Like the Israelites men today are just as stiff necked and more than that they are unreasonable. Unlike men today the Israelites knew they were slaves in the land of Egypt. They knew they were bound and needed a Saviour if they hoped to attain any kind of freedom. Today people are slaves and they do not even know it. They are bound by demons of lust, perversion, anger, lewdness and so on and so forth yet they think it's normal. They esteem themselves as moral and make the mistake of comparing themselves to people who are just as wicked as themselves. The Israelites cried out for a Saviour but today men think they are their own Saviour. The Blood of Jesus stands in the gap for the men of this World giving them time to repent so when they hear the words of Life they can change. But men will not and wonder why the World is the way it is today? Is it not because they refused to listen?

The sin of the New Covenant is so much greater and darker than all the rebellion of the Israelites of the Old Covenant. Not because they were so righteous and holy walking in the fear of the LORD but because we have what they never had. We have the blood of Jesus. We have the remission of all our sins. We have the power to overcome sin. We have grace. We have the example of Jesus Christ. We have the Holy Spirit. We have weapons of warfare. We have spiritual gifts. We have access to power that they could only dream of. We have GOD living in us. With all that we have been given, with all that we have access to men still do not want to change. The laws and precepts of the Lord God are seen as a strange thing. The standards of GOD are viewed as a thing of nought to be talked about in religious ceremonies and quoted in theology but not followed. The Israelites received the ten commandments from Moses and rebelled but we have received the laws from GOD Himself and still rebel. We not only have the examples of the prophets of old that have gone before us but our GOD himself Yahweh who walked upon the Earth. This many men know! His laws are written on the tables of our heart but men still rebel. Why are the hearts of men so hard and their necks so stiff? Is it not because they refused to listen?

In this New Covenant the Lord God has chosen to Himself a people for His glory that are to be peculiar, a royal priesthood and a holy nation. A people who are supposed to be different to everyone else walking in the fear of the LORD. These people are called Christians. Those who follow after Christ and not the pattern of this World an example of holiness, righteousness and integrity. These people ought to be the standard in the Earthly realm and a testimony of who the GOD of Gods is. But these people in these times have done what the Israelites did in the wilderness. They have stiffened their neck. They have refused to abide by the laws and precepts of GOD and because of this Fire and Brimstone is coming. The Wrath of GOD is going to be poured out upon the nations because of the height of rebellion within and without the Body of Christ. The heathen without walk in their own ways and follow their own paths and perform all the iniquity that is in their hearts and the "Christians" within who claim to know GOD do the same. The New Covenant example of GOD walking upon the Earth in us has hardened their necks so much to provoke the wrath and anger of a Holy God. The people who are supposed to be GODs ministers have made for themselves a golden calf and not only encourage each other to dance around it but all the nations surrounding them. They strengthen each others hands in iniquity and the hands of the heathen also. Then they wonder why don't the miracles in the Bible happen today? Is it not because they refused to listen?

The level of iniquity upon the Earth is so great. The Lord Jesus came not into the World to condemn the World but so by Him the World might be saved. Men condemn themselves by refusing to change their wicked ways. They believe their way of thinking is greater than GODs ways. Their ideas are greater than GODs ideas and how they want to live is greater than the way GOD wants them to live. Therefore Fire and Brimstone is coming. The Lord God is going to judge this very World that He came to save because men refused to listen. They chose their own ways and by doing so have disannulled the laws of GOD. The Word of God has become a foreign concept and science, philosophy and intellectualism has become reality. The grace the Lord God has given us to overcome sin is being used to play around with sin. The power of the Holy Spirit to do the work of the LORD is used for greedy gain. The financial blessings that are supposed to be used to expand the Kingdom of GOD  are used on fulfilling the lusts of men. There is wickedness without and within the House of GOD therefore fire and brimstone is coming. And the only safety that is and ever shall be is the cross of Jesus Christ. All those who refuse to come to the cross and change will not make it on the day of judgement. You have to come and change. Too many people are coming and remaining the same, too many people are coming and polluting the way. Too many people are coming and preaching lies, too many people are coming and preaching false doctrine, too many people are coming and making a profit. Too many people are coming and are wolves in sheeps clothing but few, few, few are coming and changing. It is the Lord Gods' desire that you come and change. That you come to the cross to see Him and allow Him to change you. 

The children of Israel never got a chance to repent. In the law of Moses at the accusation of two or three witnesses one was stoned. We have grace today. Nobody from the House of GOD is going to stone you. We have the opportunity to get right with GOD by changing but many prefer to rebel and will end up in Hell for doing so. Why? Is it not because they refused to listen.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.                                                                                                                                                                John 3:17

And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.                                                                                                                                                                    Mark 1:15

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;                                                                                          And they shall turn away their ears from truth, and shall be turned unto fables.                                          2 Timothy 4:3-4

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.                                                                                              Matthew 7:21  

Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:                                                                But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.                                            Therefore He lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:                                Psalm 106:24-26

Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.                                                                            Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.                                                Isaiah 5:13-14

I pray that this post was a blessing to you and that you hearken unto the Word of the LORD this day. Tomorrow is promised to no man so today if you hear His voice do not harden your heart as in the day of provocation but yield. Go to the cross because He loves you! He does not desire you or anyone else to perish in their sins. Do not worry about what people will think of you; GOD will work everything out for your good.
